For nearly three years now the mainstream media has been sorting out its somewhat schizophrenic take on the alternative energy transportation marketplace. One day they’re in and EV manufacturers are the darlings of future vision and the next day they’re out; it’s too costly and no sentient being will realize the value… So according to them we’re stuck with the current paradigm. If you buy into the drama of mainstream media, it’ll be awhile before industries and companies are in a position to act on emerging technologies and create the new marketplace.
This is simply not true.
The new marketplace is here right now. It has been for quite some time. “Where is it?” you may ask. It’s right in front of you. It’s you.
The new “alt-energy” transportation marketplace is comprised of companies that already participate in and succeed in related vertical markets; they already possess a piece of the puzzle and are re-directing their attention to these new opportunities. This time in history is merely the next phase in the development of many established industries (e.g. energy, transportation, technology). That’s not to say that new segments won’t emerge because they definitely will.
So what can your company contribute? How can you participate? What problem can you solve?
This is the time. Your organization may be the answer.
